Dear Resident:
The City of Crescent City is
setting up an Emergency Notification System.
The high speed telephone communication service for
emergency notifications, will allow us to telephone all
or targeted areas of the city in case of an emergency
situation that requires immediate action. It then
delivers our recorded message to a person or an
answering machine, making three attempts to connect to
any number.
The system will be utilized to
notify citizens of: drinking water contamination,
evacuation notices & routes, missing persons, fires or
floods, bomb threats, hostage situations, chemical
spills or gas leaks, and other emergency incidents where
rapid and accurate notification is essential for life
safety.
After registering, NOTIFICATION
AUTOMATICALLY GOES TO YOUR HOME PHONE NUMBER. IN ORDER
TO USE A DIFFERENT NUMBER, YOU MUST ALSO SIGN UP FOR THE
ADDITIONAL NUMBER.
How to register:
Call the Crescent City Police at 698-1211 with your
name and 911 address, or fill out the form below.
Your information will remain completely private and will
only be made available to notify you of critical
situations.
